Send that info in a ticket to support. I sent in a ticket and am now playing again. It took several days, but when they have specifics, they know where to focus their attention.

So, judging from the posts in this thread, everyone is having trouble accessing Guild wars wiki. Sometimes it loads but most of the time it doesn't, that is what I'm witnessing. I have two PC's and they are doing the same thing, loading forever.
Are the powers that be aware of this and is something being done to fix it since it seems to have been this way for almost a month now?

I had the exact same problem getting through to the Wiki or the Guild wars main site. After playing around with it for a while, I found that if I unblocked referers in my browser I was able to get through.
I'm using firefox, so if you have referer's set to 0 like me then change it to 2 to unblock referers. The actual setting name is network.http.sendRefererHeader
I always block referers but doing this can break some websites. It's interesting that this only just started though as I was using it constantly before this. Like other people, I noticed that there were many sites between me and Guildwars.com that would time out but I'm not sure how referers would have anything to do with them.
I consider it a pain in the a$$ to unblock it and then reblock it after, so I think I will try to access the website and wiki through another browser that doesn't have it blocked.
Just an addition: referers can be blocked in your firewall as well or in other ways so what I described will only work if it is blocked in Firefox.

Just posting that I'm having problems with Guild Wars as well today. I haven't been able to play for the last 2 hours and when I did manage to log on I got disconnected 3 minutes in.
Pretty disappointing. I hope this is fixed before the weekend event because I might just finally give up on GW if it isn't.

Oh good, I'm not the only one. For the past two weeks or so, I've been getting dropped connections. Sometimes, I can reconnect and return to where I get disconnected, but most of the time, I get completely disconnected, which is especially frustrating when I'm at the end of a dungeon (Murphy's Law... it's always at an end of a quest / dungeon rather than at the beginning!).
And yes, also having issues getting into the official wiki and the official GW site.
I'm gonna switch to European servers and see if I still have drop issues.

Have the same problems playing GW for the past 2 weeks. I first thought it was my internetconnection. My guildies and i were vanquising, and we had a disconnect. We tried it again and we got annother disconnect. We couldn't log in again. We tried the next day to vq and we got disconnected again. Very frustrating.
And sometimes it's pretty hard to get past the inlog screen. Yesterday i couldn't play for 3 hours before i could log in again.

So last night at home, I switched to playing on the European servers, and outside one brief 5 second hiccup, I had a near-flawless playing experience, network-wise. I still cannot access the official site or wiki from home, but at least I can play now!

Wouldn't you know it, weekend event goes live and my game freezes up. After waiting 5 minutes to see what happens, I close game, reboot computer, reload game, and guess what.... stuck at connecting 0%, after selecting character. Another ticket submitted.
Missed out on the April Fools weekend, now probably this one too.

My wife and I play. As well as her father and sister. Her family is over for the week and we are playing together (A family that play's together!) and having fun. However, we noticing issues too. It seems like once one of us loads, the others can't... or none at all. However, after reading all through this, I can say after I loaded and hopped into a Euro server, I have had no problems (LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!). Guess we will see what happens once the wifey and sis-in-law get back from shopping.
My father-in-law hasn't had problems, but he works magic with computers everyday so I'm sure he's done something fancy to make the gremlins go back to the naughty place.

Hi there, I'm a long time reader, first time poster on here.
I'm so glad I've found this thread as I've been having these random connection problems since March.
I have opened a ticket with support, but they appear to be either ignoring what I'm saying to them or they're still going through the routine of asking their standard support questions.
I have replied to them twice so far and they've come back to me with questions regarding OUR own connection, which I have already explained to them why it quite obviously cannot be OUR connection.
My apologies if I sound frustrated but this is getting ridiculous as many of you in this thread would understand perfectly.
Here is why (***Below is what I sent to Support***):
***I have 2 accounts, but I play my main account several times each day (during kids nap times). However, over approx the past month and a half, during my night times when I login, the next "loading" splash screen page comes up, but it only has a very small red piece on the loading bar and it never moves any further.
I have run the diagnostics tests through GW itself and everything is normal.
I can login to my other account perfectly fine.
My Husband has tried to login on his own laptop onto MY main account and exactly the same thing happens to him there. It will not load any further at nighttime here than the first "loading" page past the login screen.
It is obviously something to do with my "main" account as both my husband and I have 2 accounts each, and we are BOTH able to login to each and all of the other accounts EXCEPT for my main account.
I play my main account twice each day in the daytime, but it appears this only occurs at night time. If I leave it just sit there trying to connect, it will sit there for a good 15 minutes to half an hour and then bring up a window with a message: You're connection to the server was lost. Please check your internet connection. (Code=007).
Of course, I know my internet connection is just fine as I'm browsing and the necessary testing has already been conducted there. We're not sure what else to do and am hoping you will know what is wrong or at least have an idea. If you need any further info, please do not hesitate to contact me as I will only be too glad to help. As you could understand, this is quite worrying not being able to connect at night on this particular account. It's quite a mystery to us as to why not. I look forward to hearing from you when convenient.***
*********
They did reply to the above with connection questions, router questions etc etc. We replied back to them with all of the necessary info. It's as if the important factor of ONE ACCOUNT out of 4 accounts cannot connect has fallen upon deaf ears or blind eyes, one or the other.
So, since I am receiving no such help via email from support, I am going to attempt to phone them during support hours and hopefully ask for the fellows that a fellow poster mentioned in this thread previously.
I am in Melbourne Australia so I will have to find out the time difference to get in touch with them. I am with Telstra Big Pond and have a very stable cable connection, which blows the theory out the window that only American users with Comcast are experiencing this problem.
BUT I HAVE BEEN TROUBLESHOOTING over the past week since the weekend of the golden egg and choc bunny drops and noticed some even stranger happenings.
I like you guys, decided to move to Euro servers as I thought the US servers were the problem. I'm still not sure about those as the connection problems randomly occured to my account whilst on the Euro servers as well.
Then I began to pinpoint some more similarities and I'm hoping like hell some of you will notice if these things are happening to you too......
The following is a copy and paste of my notes taken over the past week:
1. If I'm going to have the connection problems, it appears there are certain times of the day that it happens more frequently. These are during my night times (I'm +10 hours here) at around 10pm.
UPDATE: It is happening at any time of the day now - randomly
2. I first noticed this happening whenever I went to go into a DOA run with a group and when the splash screen would come up, the red bar would load no further than 1% and I would have to try to load again to no avail. It would not connect as the character was in an area where that particular splash screen was.
3. Any other characters that were not in that area would load fine.
4. Any characters that are located where the Corrupted Isle Splash screen comes up, will not load at all. The bar will just sit there with about 1% loaded and will go no further. Any characters that are located elsewhere where that splash screen does not come up, load perfectly fine.
I'm going to reply to Support with a link to this thread (if anyone hasn't already directed them to this) as something has got to be done.
Needless to say, when I could finally manage to login to that particular character that was located in the area with that splash screen, I immediately moved them somewhere else. In fact, I moved all of my characters out of that area just to be on the safe side.
Anyway, hopefully others might be able to pinpoint some of the similarities that I wrote above. I would love to hear of others who may be having this same problem with just the one account or perhaps just in the one area with a particular splash screen. With mine, it appears it is the desolation splash screen or whatever it's called.
Thankyou for your time and once again, my apologies if I sound frustrated, but all I'd like to do is play my game without strange anomalies such as this occuring.

@Mini Pix -
Location, location, location.
Train leaves point A, travels via bridge B, arrives at destination C. If the bridge is out, train doesn't arrive.
In your case, point A is static - your home.
Point C, however, is not static - and even within a single account, each character is potentially going to a different destination. If you look in the upper left corner of your screen when it's doing the 0%/1% connecting stall-out, you'll see the IP address of the destination.
For a long while, I could not get on to any of our characters across three different accounts that were in the Guild Hall... because the IP address of the Guild Hall was one that the aforementioned bridge B was out to when the train was leaving from my point of origin. I COULD, however, get on characters that were in say, Kamadan... because that destination didn't involve going over bridge B for me. Others elsewhere couldn't get to Kamadan because their signal DID cross that bridge when heading to that destination - but they could get to the Guild Halls.
This is why support is asking so many questions... they're trying to find all the routes coming into their servers that are being blocked by "bridge B." In the end, unless AT&T (which is the company who actually has the bad "bridge") gets off their asses and fixes the problem, ANet/NCSoft is probably going to be forced to do some serious IP reassigning within their network. This would potentially be an enormous undertaking, and one perhaps not even guaranteed to work... I'm sure they're trying to avoid that by gaining as much information as possible to beat AT&T over the head with.
About all you can do is try to make sure that when you log off any character, it is in an outpost you have reliably been able to connect to consistently. That may help mitigate the problem... it may not. But at this point, the only thing ANet can do is continue to try to gather up as much information as possible... they can't really "fix" the issue because they aren't actually causing it. Their servers are fine, your connection and ISP is fine... it's one of the stops between you and them that's screwed up.

Thanks so much for going into so much detail about the "bridges". I found it very helpful and it has given me a better understanding of what is actually going on in the background when we login to different characters in different areas. You have given me renewed hope and I thank you dearly for that!
The question I have is, why isn't this happening to our other 3 accounts and only to this one account? We do not have any concerns with our other accounts. Perhaps it is all in the timing of when we login, choosing chars to play with, and zoning around the game itself. I'm guessing it comes back to the routes you spoke of? Which would explain the randomness of it all sometimes.

Well, the obvious question is - are you playing that account on different servers? Like, are those characters in International districts but your other three are in European? With the exception of Guild Halls (which seem to be hosted on whatever server the guild founder was on when they created the guild) and a couple of odd instances like cooperative missions/areas in Factions, when you move one character on an account to a different district (say from American to European), all characters on that account are moved to the same.
Try logging into each of the characters on the "bad" account, one by one. After you select the character and click to connect, you'll get to that loading screen that tells you where you're going (Embark Beach, Shing Jea, whatever). At the very top left of the screen is a string of numbers. Note down those numbers AND the name of the outpost where you're headed... for each character on that account.
Now go through your other accounts... make note of where they are going, and what the string of numbers is for those.
If you post that info here, or send it to me in a PM, we might be able to puzzle out why you can get on with the others but not that one.

By the way - "right now" might not be the best time to gather that information. Apparently there's a sudden wide-spread issue with servers, so your notes wouldn't actually be accurate for now.
